Meet Bethany

Bethany Griffith has been a resident of Lenexa for more than 10 years. She particularly enjoys travel, the theater and reading.

Bethany is currently the Chair of the Johnson County Library Board, and has served on the board for 7 years. In her time on the board she opened Lenexa City Center Library, served on the budget subcommittee since its inception, helped ensure the successful planned transition between County Librarians and, during COVID, was instrumental in getting the Libraries open again after their initial closure in March 2020.

In her spare time, Bethany volunteers with children’s community theater.

She has been married to her husband James for 23 years and they have two children: a son, currently attending Kansas State University, and a daughter in High School.
